Eset, based in Bratislava (Slovakia), was founded in 1992 with merger of two private companies. From the beginning its activities were focused on anti-virus software. Time showed that the IT security segment was the place for realization of practical and theoretical experiences of company founders.

Since launch of the first version of company’s key product, NOD32 Antivirus system, almost 20 years have passed. Objectively, today Eset belongs to the most effective security solutions for data protection in the world. Studies, in which this Slovak product competes with foreign products, NOD32 carries off without hesitation. It reaches excellent indicators in heuristic detection. In comparison to its rivals it is extremely fast with only small footprint. Eset’s antivirus system NOD32 is a true “install and forget” security application.

Company’s development advanced rapidly especially after 2000, when Eset expanded abroad. In this time two affiliates were founded, in San Diego (USA) and in Prague (Czech Republic). In following years the distribution network was created intensively. Today Eset is known in Britain, Germany, Sweden, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mexico or Panama and dozens of other countries. The quality of label and Eset’s products has already been appreciated also by global players like Canon, Dell or Microsoft.

 

 

Besides, the company supports education and health sectors by providing its products at favorable prices. The number of awards that Eset together with NOD32 collects all over the world grows. For example, NOD32 holds a world record for Virus Bulletin 100% Awards, given by the Virus Bulletin, the most recognized professional international publication focusing on virus prevention, recognition and removal.

According to global auditing agency Deloitte & Touche, Eset belongs to the top 100 of fastest growing companies in region of Europe, Middle East and Africa. In the monitored period since 2001, it has grown more than 900%. To company collection of success also belongs management certificate ISO 9001.

From small, lets say garage company, evolved the global provider of software solutions for protection and security of millions of users worldwide, as it is now, at the beginning of the year 2006.
